If you have any questions about getting a root canal or you’re anxious about the procedure, our friendly team can help answer your questions to ease your nerves so you feel comfortable in our care. A root canal is not much different from a standard filling.

Experience compassionate dental care.

Our What Is a Root Canal?

A root canal is a treatment that helps restore or save a tooth that has become inflamed or infected.

Inside the centre of your tooth, there is a soft tissue called pulp. The pulp contains nerves and blood vessels to help feed the tooth and help fight infections. A damaged tooth or deep tooth decay can lead to infection of the pulp, resulting in the need for a root canal.

During a root canal treatment, your dentist will numb the area before using dental tools to remove the pulp from inside the tooth. Your dentist will then fill and seal the tooth.
